Christian Colleges Better Explained

Christian college and university enrollment continue to grow throughout the country. With nearly 300 of these specialty colleges between the United States and Canada, the option to attend one of these academically challenging and socially engaging faith-based campus settings is very much within reach.

With prices still $10,000 less than the average cost of other four-year, private colleges and universities, parents looking for faith-based college options are taking just as close of a look at the price tag as local options. And, just because a private, Christian college is out-of-state, doesn’t mean it’s out-of-reach.

Sarah Zylstra of The Gospel Coalition states that CCCU schools’ total headcount rose over a five-year span in 2017.

Mark Cruver, owner of Capstone Educational Consultants was recently interviewed by the hosts of the popular Tests and the Rest: College Admissions Industry Podcast on the subject of Christian College Admissions. Mark’s history of working in college admissions at a Christian college brings a front-row perspective to applying to these faith-based institutions. And, as the hosts state, depending on your background, you either know lots of people who have attended one of these colleges or can’t name more than one or two of the hundreds of institutions in the United States that fall into this category.
