As a leading educational consultant in the metro-Atlanta area with Capstone Educational Consultants, LLC, Mark Cruver supports families in navigating the college admissions process. In this role, he draws on his extensive experience as a college admissions professional. For 10 years, Mark Cruver served in the admissions department of Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, where he rose from admissions counselor to become director of admissions and enrollment management. In this position, he had the honor of personally consulting with more than 1,000 students and families about their admissions decisions. Later in his career, he provided analysis and consultation for personal and career development. In his free time, Mr. Cruver enjoys participating in outdoor activities that bring him closer to nature, including gardening, fishing, and canoeing. His favorite places to visit include the Appalachian Smoky Mountains, Colorado Rockies, coastal Georgia, and the Tampa Bay area. He is also fond of cooking, especially for his family.
Mark Cruver is a Certified Educational Planner by the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners and holds a master of education in college student affairs from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. He completed this course of study after receiving a bachelor of arts in Christian education from Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee as well as a teaching diploma from the Evangelical Training Association. He has since leveraged this unique background to create a company that serves not only the general college applicant population, but also families particularly seeking a strong Christian education at the university level. Mr. Cruver recently completed an independent educational consultant certificate from the University of California, Irvine.
Mark Cruver is an active member of the Higher Education Consultants Association and the Southern Association of College Admissions Counselors. Mark currently serves as an outstanding member of the Association of Certified College Funding Specialists. In recognition of his efforts, he received the 2004 Regional Service Award granted by the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP). Mark Cruver’s key core strength is to strategically create alternative solutions when presented with complex circumstances. Mr. Cruver is interested in the individual and values the unique qualities of each of his students.
